Lend Lease was named by Monash Health Translational Precinct as the managing contractor for the new Monash Translational Research Facility (TRF) in Melbourne.
The new facility constitutes a purpose built, cross-disciplinary translational research and clinical applications facility that will link to existing research and clinical services on the Monash Health site. The six level, 12,500sqm facility will be dedicated to translating medical research to improve healthcare.
Lend Lease have engaged Star Ceilings to do the fit out on this project and have requested they use the Jumbobag plaster recycling solution as part of their waste management plan. Jumbocorp diverted over 42 tonne of plasterboard on this project.
‘We used the Jumbocorp plaster waste recycling solution here at the Monash Translational Research Facility (Lend Lease Project – Clayton Vic) and diverted approximately 42 tonne of clean plasterboard from landfill which is a great result from an environmental point of view. With our trades having the Jumbobag’s close to where they were working, they were able to segregate recyclable plaster into the bags meaning the percentage of total waste recycled from the bags was above 95%.”
